Growing up in New York, Genise Thomas, always dreamed of becoming a entrepreneur. She also longed to have a purpose to help others. Life happened suddenly for Genise through teen parenthood, parents who struggled with drug addiction, low self-esteem and more. However, Genise knew that there was a purpose and calling on her life. She endured some pain but ultimately overcame all obstacles set before her life.

Even as a full-time entrepreneur she experience racism and inequality in the world of business. She learned early on that race, class and gender played a major role in her beginning steps as an entrepreneur. To date, she heads her own full service management company called “InPower”. Within that company is her premium water brand called InPowered Culture.

“Inpowered Culture ™ is a premium water brand that aims to amplify positive change through its campaigns that inspire, promote, and socially impact the community,” Genise states. “I am proud of my children in their accomplishments and how they work with me to build our family business. I am also proud of myself for receiving my education when the odds were against me as a young mother,” she continues. “What sets me apart from others is my crazy faith, coupled with tenacity; and pure heart to help others without receiving anything in return,” she expresses.

The water brand has a “sip, scan and unlock” method using a QR code on each bottle. Their community collaborations and campaigns use the QR code method to continue to bring awareness of the overall message into the digital space. This genius approach is reaching more in the community as consumers unlock their potential. The use of technology and great tasting alkaline water is what gives InPowered Culture an advantage for success.

The technology in each water bottle unlocks opportunities in entertainment, prizes, discounts and education. Consumers can hydrate with confidence as they grow within their community. Genise Thomas definitely used her resilience to empower others with one refreshing water bottle at a time.
